AMRITSAR: With a view to provide flawless registration to students, seeking admissions in more than 200 disciplines at Khalsa University, an online centralized admission portal was today launched by the varsity authorities. The digital solution aims to streamline the registration as well as admissions to the students for the upcoming academic session 2026-27.
KU Pro-Chancellor Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina who inaugurated the facility by clicking of button in the august gathering comprising of KU VC Dr.Mehal Singh, Deans, Registrar and Directors termed the initiative as a significant milestone for the newly established professional University. He added that the portal will cater to the process for admissions for all undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs being offered by the university.
Developed by the team of experts from in house human resource, guided by Registrar Dr.Khushvinder Kumar and Khalsa College of Engineering and Technology Director Dr.Manju Bala, the user-friendly features and intuitive navigation of the collaborative portal will facilitate a smooth application process for the willing students from across the country.
VC Dr.Mehal Singh and Dean Dr.Surinder Kaur expressed pride in the university’s growing digital infrastructure and reiterated commitment to transparency, efficiency, and accessibility in academic pursuits including granting admissions. “With the portal, the varsity now begins the new journey for aspiring students. We also adapt to the latest and new technology for better governance and services”, said Dr.Mehal Singh.
Dr.RK Dhawan, Director Research, KU said as the KU’s primary focus is on research, all Ph.D programs will be conducted through UGC guidelines and rules. The portal can be accessed through the university’s official website www.khalsauniversity.ac.in and will remain open for applications as per the admission calendar being finalized. Dr.Jaspal Singh, Dr.Kanwaljit Singh, Dr.Amanpreet Kaur, PR Director DS Rataul, Kawalpal Singh, Mandeep Kumar and Pritam Singh were present.
