Punjab Governor and Administrator Chandigarh released the book 'Poshan Utsav'

CHANDIGARH: The Governor of Punjab and the Administrator of Chandigarh, Gulab Chand Kataria released the book 'Poshan Utsav' at a special function held at Raj Bhawan on Friday. The book has been published by Deendayal Shodh Sansthan. The book reflects the rich cultural heritage of India, traditional food systems and the importance of nutrition.

On this occasion, Mr Kataria praised the life of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and said that his life was a symbol of simplicity and dedication. He said that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya not only worked for the deprived and poor sections of the society, but he also tried to strengthen Indian culture and nationalism.

The Governor said that this book would prove useful for people of every section and age of the society and would inspire them to contribute towards building a healthy society. The Governor said that the book 'Poshan Utsav' would help in increasing awareness about nutrition in the society and explain the importance of balanced diet. He called upon everyone to read this book and spread its message to as many people as possible. He underlined the importance of millets and called it the best option for healthy and sustainable food in the present times.

This book has been edited under the leadership of Atul Kumar Jain, General Secretary, Deendayal Shodh Sansthan. He along with his team visited 26 states and studied the local folk cultures and traditions and included it in this book.
Smt. Sukhwinder Brar, various dignitaries, educationists and social workers participated in the program.
