Prayas Trust Udaan and RCED initiate a new Initiative to train and employ Women

CHANDIGARH: Prayas Trust – Udaan, Chandigarh Chapter, a women-led social arm of Larsen and Toubro signed an agreement with The Regional Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (RCED) to launch a dedicated Skill Development Program exclusively for women.

The MoU was signed on Thursday in Chandigarh by Mrs. Anju Narang, Chairperson of Prayas Trust, Chandigarh Chapter and Mr. Paramjit Singh, Director, RCED. This collaboration aims to empower women by impart training to them in the Front Desk and Receptionist trade, enabling them to secure employment and achieve financial independence.

Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Anju Narang emphasized the importance of providing women with skill-based opportunities, especially in roles that helped in building confidence and direct interaction with the public. Mr. Paramjit Singh reiterated RCED’s commitment to inclusive development and highlighted the role such partnerships played in uplifting marginalized sections of society.

This initiative not only strengthens women empowerment but also reflects a strong corporate-social synergy between RCED and L&T’s Prayas Trust. The training program will be conducted in Chandigarh and aims to provide comprehensive hands-on training, soft skills development, and placement support to all participants.

The signing marks a new milestone in Prayas Trust to promote RCED mission to support entrepreneurship and employability among underrepresented communities.
