Manoj Parida, Adviser to Administrator, Chandigarh, transferred

CHANDIGARH: Manoj Kumar Parida, , a 1986 batch IAS officer, adviser to the Chandigarh Administrator, has been transferred to Delhi as chairman, Natrional Authority Chemical Weapons Conventions in the rank and pay of secretary to the Government of India.

Appointment letter to the new post has been issued by the Secretary, Appointment Committee of Cabinet and Establishment Officer, New Delhi on June 17, 2021. Parida, who belongs to the AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram and Union Territories) joint cadre, has joined Chandigarh Administration in December 2-18. Parida’s transfer orders came six months before his term was to end in December, 2021. During his tenure in the city, the outgoing adviser maintained a low profile.

Parida hails from Odisha and began his career from Goa. He served as Chief Secretary of Puducherry in 2015. Parida also served as Collector in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and worked in various posts in Delhi, Arunachal Pradesh, Goa and Puducherry.
