KHARAR: Due to the Punjab government's negligence and the incompetence of MLA Anmol Gagan Maan, the people of Kharar are left marooned with rain lashing on them and streets turning into rivers.
Despite being Cabinet Minister for a year or so, MLA Anmol Gagan Maan has continuously ignored the problems of Kharar city. As a result of today's heavy rainfall, nearly every part of the city is flooded, turning Kharar into a "city of puddles."
This was stated by senior BJP leader and State Media Head of BJP Punjab Vineet Joshi, who visited several societies in different parts of Kharar yesterday and today during the heavy rains.
– *Why AAP and Anmol Gagan Maan Are Responsible* –
Vineet Joshi said that the ruling Aam Aadmi Party and MLA Anmol Gagan Maan are responsible because, in 2022, 2023, and now 2024, every spell of rain has left the city in a miserable state. Streets have turned into ponds and some places into lakes, but neither Anmol Gagan Maan nor the Local Bodies Minister of the AAP government took any steps to fix the situation
Joshi said that most areas of Kharar city are waterlogged—whether it's Kharar-Landran Road, Nijjar Road, Khooni Majra Road, Sante Majra Road, Arya College Road, the lane near Jain Mandir, Jhungian Road, the road ahead of Noor City, Bhukhri Road near HLV Film City, the main gate of Shivalik City, Nirvana Green, LIC Colony, Chandigarh Enclave, New Sunny Enclave (Ward No. 9), or Silver City in Ward No. 10— water is everywhere, and life has become miserable for residents.
Joshi said that due to MLA Anmol Gagan Maan’s incompetence, Kharar has now become the number one city for waterlogging in Punjab.
