CHANDIGARH: The 41st Annual Prize Distribution Function of Post Graduate Government College, Sector 46, Chandigarh, was held on Saturday with great enthusiasm and pride, celebrating the remarkable achievements of students during the past academic year. The event commenced with a warm welcome address by the Principal, Dr. Anita Khosla, who extended her cordial greetings to the esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Dalip Kumar, Registrar, Amity University, Mohali, Punjab.
Principal Dr. Anita Khosla presented the Annual Report and expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the dedication and achievements of both students and faculty. In her address, she reaffirmed the college’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence and holistic development.
A total of 47 Merit Certificates, 15 Roll of Honour awards, and 21 College Colour awards were conferred upon students in recognition of their outstanding accomplishments in academics, sports, cultural activities, as well as their significant contributions to the National Service Scheme (NSS) and National Cadet Corps (NCC).
Dr. Dalip Kumar, in his address, congratulated the students and encouraged them to pursue higher goals. He highlighted the three key USPs of the college, including its state-of-the-art infrastructure and the upcoming hostel facility, calling it a moment of pride and celebration. He also laid emphasis on excellence, character-building, and holistic development.
He further encouraged the students to understand the college motto, “Light is Life, ” and actively participate in the multifarious activities of the institution. Stressing the importance of energy, discipline, and focus, Dr. Kumar urged students to seize opportunities, continuously upskill, and develop a unique identity. He emphasized that education goes beyond the mere acquisition of degrees, fostering a mindset that promotes growth, innovation, and leadership.
