RBU ready for online learning in view of Covid-19

MOHALI: Rayat Bahra University has introduced a large number of new age courses in collaboration with top multinational companies to increase the employment potential of the students. The University, one of the best in this part of the country, offers attractive scholarship schemes, has the highest placement record, and has ultra-modern facilities available for its students.

Disclosing this, Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University, in an interaction with media persons, said that in view of the COVID-19 pandemic the university is online ready and has an online learning management system ACADEMIA.

The Chancellor said that the university offers different student-friendly schemes like scholarships and freeships. The University, one of the best in this part of the country, offers attractive scholarship schemes, has the highest placement record, and has ultra-modern facilities available for its students.

Bahra said there has been an upswing in placements and over 350 companies visited different institutions of the RBU. The placements included 176 in engineering and technology, 91 in management and computers, 27 in hotel management, 43 in pharmaceutical science and health sciences, and 13 in law and education. The selected students have been offered very attractive and lucrative pay packages.

He said to make the students ready for the emerging Fourth Industrial Age, RBU had signed pacts with many globally known companies and introduced New Age programmes to equip students with global skills and enhance their employment potential.

Bahra said the university offers ultra-modern infrastructure to its students like a huge 24-hour central library, computer labs, international level sports and recreational facilities, and air-conditioned hostels. This has made the university a favourite destination for the students not only from the region but also from other states in the country and abroad.

Since January this year, a total of 11, 708 FIRs have been registered and 10, 639 persons have been arrested in this connection.
