RBU inks pact with Max Hospital

MOHALI: Rayat Bahra University has signed a memorandum of understanding with Max Super Speciality Hospital for training and placement of nursing students.

Disclosing this here today, Dr Parvinder Singh, Vice-Chancellor of the RBU, said that the university always makes sure that each and every student gets a fair chance at achieving their goals by learning from the pioneers in the concerned industry, thus focusing not only on the academics but also on the career building of the students.

He said that the Rayat Bahra University feels extremely proud to announce its mou with the Max Super Speciality Hospital. He said the demand for these paramedical courses had increased post Covid as the increase in number of patients with a variety of diseases, has paved the way for nursing professionals to provide better quality healthcare.

Dr Deepika r kumar Director (principal) college of nursing said that nursing occupies the largest bulk of the healthcare force but the biggest challenge posed by this profession is staff shortage not only in India but the developed nations also.

She expressed optimism that the mou with Max Super Speciality Hospital would open new vistas for the nursing students not only in practical training but also in placements after they get to work at such a premier institution. She said that nurses account for more than half of all the world’s health workers, yet there is an urgent shortage of nurses worldwide.
