Rayat Bahra University gets top rankings in HEI survey

MOHALI: Rayat Bahra University has scored A+ and A grades in the five Sustainability Ranking Indicators of Higher Education Institution (HEI) in Mohali district by Mahatma Gandhi National Council for Rural Education (MGNCRE), Union Ministry of Higher Education.

Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor and Dr Parvinder Singh, Vice-Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University, said that it was a commendable achievement for the university to have got such good rankings in different fields by the MGNCRE.

The Ranking of Rayat Bahra University in five sustainability indicators include: Green Cover on Campus - A+, Surface Water Harvesting - A, Rooftop Water Harvesting - A+, Rooftop Solar System - A, and Waste Management - A.

Mahatma Gandhi National Council for Rural Education covered 80 HEIs over a span of four weeks with Action Research Investigators visiting each of the colleges in person for the assessment and survey.

Gurvinder Singh Bahra, who is also Chairman of the Rayat Bahra Group of Institutions, said that the University had already introduced a large number of new age courses in collaboration with top multinational companies to increase the employment potential of the students. The University, one of the best in this part of the country, besides offering attractive scholarship schemes, had the highest placement record and had ultramodern facilities, he added.
