MOHALI: The Rayat Bahra University celebrated Republic Day with enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The programme commenced with the unfurling of Tricolor by Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University, at an impressive function on the university campus.

Speaking on the occasion, Bahra said that Republic Day is one of India’s most important national events as the constitution made India a sovereign, democratic and republic state. On this day India finally enjoyed the freedom of spirit, rule of law and fundamental principle governance. The patriotic zeal of the Indian people on this day brings the whole country together even in its embedded diversity.

A cultural bonanza of dances and folk songs from the different states was the main attraction of the function and the audience was spell bound to see the performance.
