AMRITSAR: The historic Khalsa College Governing Council (KCGC) opened 11 Colleges/Schools in the last decade and most of these are professional institutions. The Society is committed to fulfil the dream of its founding fathers to provide scientific knowledge and dissemination of education to every strata of society. It has emerged as one of the most prestigious bodies, managing educational institutions in the country.
The society has been spreading its mission of education through Colleges/Schools, providing value-based education to thousands of students. It has advocated a progressive attitude of mind, giving up all that is dogmatic, according the due value to intelligence and logic. As per traditions, KCGC institutions will undertake Nagar Kirtan (Religious Procession) on November 28, 2020 (Saturday) to celebrate 552th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The procession will start from Khalsa College and reach Akal Takht Sahib where an Ardas (prayers) will be held for invoking well-ness for whole humanity.
KCGC President Sardar Satayjit Singh Majithia Ji and Honorary Secretary Sardar Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina along with other Office Bearers and Members have been making tireless efforts to strengthen the education system. They work as a team and Council’s Chancellor S. Rajmohinder Singh Majitha, Rector Sardar Lakhbir Singh Lodhinangal, Vice President S.Swinder Singh Kathunangal, additional honourary secretary S. Jatinder Singh Brar, joint secretaries including S.Gunbir Singh, S.Ajmer Singh Heir, S.Nirmal Singh, S.Jagdish Singh, S. Harminder Singh Freedom, S. SS Mannan, S.Rajbir Singh, and Dr. Kartar Singh Gill are working as a team, with the blessings of the Gurus to make the 19 institutions run successfully.
