KCET signs MoU by NITTTR for Faculty Skill Enhancement

AMRITSAR : Khalsa College of Engineering and Technology (KCET) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh for faculty skill enhancement. The MoU with the NITTTR which is under the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Govt. of India and aims to better quality of technical education focuses on teachers' training that combines the best practices from education, social work, career counseling and technology training.

MoU was signed by directors of both the institutes, Prof. Shyam Sundar Pattnaik, Director, NITTTR and Dr. Manju Bala, Director, KCET, in the presence of Prof. Parmod Kumar Singla, Faculty Incharge, Administration, NITTTR, Prof. Maitreyee Dutta, Dean Academics, NITTTR, Prof. Rajesh Mehra, Curriculum Development Dean, NITTTR, Prof. P. S. Pabla, Department of Mechanical Engineering, NITTTR, Prof. Rama Krishna Challa, HOD, CSE, NITTTR, Dr. Jugraj Singh, Dean Academics, KCET and Dr. Ripin Kohli, IQAC Coordinator, KCET. Prof. Parmod Kumar Singla, Faculty Incharge, Administration, NITTTR.

 Prof. Pattnaik said the main aim of NITTTR is to improve the competence of teachers so that they can provide the latest and upgraded knowledge to students. They will fully corporate and put in the best efforts to upgrade the technical skills of faculty so that they can provide the high endeducation to the students and make them industry ready. Prof. Singla said that they will provide various opportunities and courses for academic enhancement and it will be made sure that major reforms in teaching pedagogy be bought so that students of this institution can draw maximum benefits out of this MoU.

 Dr. ManjuBala said it is the first college in the region to sign MoU with NITTTR which is a matter of pride. The MoU, she said, is for the period of three years and under this association faculty and students of the college will get chance to interact with brilliant minds of such an elite institute which will increase their innovative thinking capacity, ability for teamwork, boost their confidence and most importantly will widen their academic horizon.
