MOHALI: Joint Association of Colleges (JAC) has rejected new Post Matric Scholarship declared by Punjab Govt. recently JAC said that the new education policy is meant for 2020-21. But our first question to Govt is what about the pending Post matric Scholarship of the year 2016-17 (415.60 crore), 2017-18 (Rs 538 crore); 2018-19 (Rs 437.19 crore) and 2019-20 (around 450 crore) which is accumulated to 1850 crores?

Jagjit Singh, President, JAC; Dr. Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal, Chairman, JAC; and Dr. Anshu Kataria Co-Chairman, JAC said that out of 1650 unaided colleges of Punjab, majority of the colleges have turned into NPA because of the 4-year delay in the Post Matric Scholarship and still in the new policy nothing has been mentioned about the pending Post Matric Scholarship.
