AMRITSAR: Guru Nanak Dev University has been steadily improving its educational rating under the stewardship of Vice Chancellor Prof. Karamjeet Singh. THE WEEK-HANSA SURVEY-2025 just announced its Best University Ranking, in which GNDU placed 12th in the category of Government Multidisciplinary Universities - All India. Its All-India Ranking has risen from 24th in 2016 to 12th by 2025.
Dr. Jatinder Kaur, Director, Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the University said that it retained its 8th place ranking among state-multidisciplinary institutions and 7th place among multidisciplinary universities in the north zone. It is the second-highest ranking among State Public Multidisciplinary Universities in the North Zone, trailing only Panjab University, Chandigarh, which is an Inter state University funded by the Indian government.
Prof. (Dr.) Karamjeet Singh, Vice Chancellor, has complimented the university's academics, researchers and personnel on their achievement. He stated that universities' high quality inclusive and conducive atmosphere for academics, research, professionalism and co-curricular activities have been a defining feature of their success. Prof.(Dr.) Palwinder Singh, Dean, Academic Affairs and Prof. K.S. Chahal, Registrar thanked the university staff and research scholars for the outstanding performance.
