MOHALI: The Department of Computer Applications at Rayat Bahra University organised a two-day workshop on research paper writing, aimed at equipping students with the essential skills required for academic research and publication.
The workshop was held under the leadership of Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra, with guidance from Vice-Chairman Gurinder Singh Bahra, Group Vice-Chancellor Dr Sanjay Kumar, Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr Satish Kumar Bansal, and with the support of Executive Director Dr Sahil Verma.
Highlighting the objectives of the workshop, Dr Anita Goyal, Head of the Department of Computer Applications, said the primary goal was to introduce students to the foundations of research, familiarize them with the writing process, and prepare them for publishing in reputed national and international journals.
On the first day, Dr Kavita explained the concept of research and provided a detailed understanding of the step-by-step methodology of conducting effective research. The second day focused on the practical aspects of research writing and publication, with Dr Raman Kumar demonstrating how theoretical knowledge can be applied in preparing quality research papers.
Group Vice-Chancellor Dr Sanjay Kumar praised the initiative, stating that the workshop successfully combined theoretical learning with practical exposure, thereby fostering a strong research culture among students.
