GNDU students in big demand by National and Multinational IT

AMRITSAR: Directorate of Placement & Career Enhancement of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar organized 28 placement drives for the academic session 2022-23 in the last 4 to 5 months. A huge 535 students have got jobs in these placement drives. The highest pay package of Rs. 17.40 Lakh per annum has been offered to GNDU students.

These students have got average pay package of Rs. 6.58 Lakhs per annum. They have got the jobs before completion of their studies and they will join their jobs in July, 2023 after passing out their respective courses.

TCS recruited 181, Capgemini 87, Accenture 51, Nagarro 36, Bandhan Bank 30, ICICI Prudential 22, Amdocs 19, HDFC Life 13 and many other national and multinational companies recruited Computer Science, Electronics, Mechanical, Civil Engg., MCA and MBA students at attractive salary packages. It shows that reputed National and Multinational companies are hiring students in big numbers from GNDU, Amritsar. Students of various courses from main campus Amritsar as well as the regional campuses of Jalandhar and Gurdaspur participated in these placement drives.

Apart from placement drives, a large number of internship drives were also conducted by the department. Many companies offered both placement as well as internship to the selected students. More than 100 students of GNDU have been offered internships by various companies. The highest internship stipend of Rs. 80, 000 per month has been paid by Amazon.

Directorate of Placement & Career Enhancement of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar also organized more than 43 online webinars and seminars for the skill development, career guidance and industrial exposure to the students. Various Govt. / Semi Govt. and Private organizations participated in these webinars and seminars.

Vice Chancellor Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu and Dean Academic Affairs Dr. S.S. Behl congratulated the students for this great success. Dr. B.S. Bajwa, Prof.-in-Charge (Placements) said that many more companies have confirmed their visit in near future to recruit the students of GNDU. Dr. Amit Chopra, Asstt. Placement Officer added that the GNDU is one of the favourite hunting grounds for Top multinational firms.
