MOHALI: Gian Jyoti Institute of Management & Technology, Phase 2, Mohali, celebrated International Women's Day by hosting "Sodashi 3.0, " the third edition of its annual event dedicated to honoring exceptional women. The term "Sodashi, " derived from Sanskrit, signifies "perfection and completeness, " reflecting the event's aim to recognize the remarkable contributions of women across diverse fields.
The celebration commenced with a Welcome Address by Dr. Aneet Bedi, Director of GJIMT, who emphasized the importance of acknowledging women's achievements and promoting an environment of empowerment. This was followed by the felicitation of the Chief Guest, RJ Meenakshi, a distinguished radio personality renowned for her influential voice and impact. A Lamp Lighting Ceremony symbolized the illumination of knowledge and progress, setting a reflective tone for the event. A special video presentation showcased GJIMT's journey, highlighting its commitment to academic excellence and holistic development.
The event's highlight was the Awards & Honors Ceremony, where over 50 outstanding women achievers were recognized for their contributions to various sectors. The Chief Guest, RJ Meenakshi, presented the awards, celebrating excellence in leadership, entrepreneurship, and social impact. In her inspiring speech, she spoke passionately about self-confidence, resilience, and the power of determination. Adding an interactive element, a balloon activity themed "Balanced & Bold" engaged the audience, symbolizing resilience and harmony.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Ranjeet Bedi, Director Principal of Gian Jyoti Global School, acknowledging the efforts of the organizing team, guests, and awardees.
