CHANDIGARH: The Centre for Women Development (CWD), University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University today organised an enlightening workshop titled “Mindful Menstruation: Sustainable Menstrual Health, Hormonal & Emotional Awareness.”
The workshop aimed to normalise conversations around menstruation and promote an understanding of it as a natural, empowering, and sustainable process. The session beautifully reflected the theme — “Because periods deserve awareness, not whispers.” It encouraged participants to view menstrual health as a journey of strength, sustainability, and self-love.
The resource persons for the event were Ms. Adrija and Dr. Pallavi, who led an engaging and highly interactive session. The speakers actively involved the audience by inviting students to share their personal experiences and thoughts on menstruation, making every discussion deeply relatable. Their insights on hormonal changes, emotional awareness, and sustainable menstrual practices created a safe and understanding environment where every participant felt heard and connected.
The session concluded with the felicitation of the resource persons by Prof. (Dr.) Anupam Bahri, Prof. Bhoop Singh, Ms. Tania, and other teacher coordinators of the Centre for Women Development, appreciating their valuable contribution to creating awareness and breaking taboos around menstrual health.
Leading the event were Ruhani (President), Maan Kaur (Convenor), Harleen Chaudhary and Varsha Sharma (Co-Convenors), Lakshay Rajora and Jhanvi (Advisory Members), with Event Head Ridhie Sharma.
