First Aid and CPR training session at RBU

MOHALI: The University School of Life Sciences of Rayat Bahra University, in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society, organised a comprehensive First Aid and CPR Training session aimed at equipping students with vital life-saving skills.

Dr Simerjit Kaur, DSW, welcomed the trainer and highlighted the objective of the session, emphasising the importance of first aid awareness in day-to-day life and emergency situations.

Dr Satish Kumar Bansal , Pro Vice-Chancellor, appreciated the initiative taken by the School of Life Sciences and lauded the efforts made to impart practical and critical knowledge to students.

He emphasised the significance of such training programs in preparing students to act promptly and responsibly in medical emergencies.

Jaswinder Kaur, an expert trainer from the Indian Red Cross Society, conducted the session and provided detailed demonstrations on essential first aid procedures.

Key areas covered during the training included Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), application of bandages, snake bite emergency treatment, fracture precautions, and first aid measures for heart attacks. Participants attended the session with great enthusiasm and actively engaged in hands-on CPR practice.

The session concluded on a positive note with a strong commitment from both faculty and students to continue promoting health education and first aid awareness.
