INDIANAPOLIS: The new Dinosphere at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, which opened on March 19, was the star attraction with "Giants of the Jurassic, Monsters of the Mesozoic Seas and Creatures of the Cretaceous coming to Life at the Museum.
The Children's Museum is rated as the world's largest children's museum. The museum is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums. It is 472, 900 square feet (43, 933.85 m2) with five floors of exhibit halls and receives more than.
Children and families come face-to-face—and in some cases, face-to-knee—with magnificent dinosaurs and marine reptiles that once dominated the world.
They were some of the largest animals ever to roam the earth 150 million years ago.. And now these enormous creatures will call the new Dinosphere® home. Enter this immersive environment, marvel at the dinosaurs’ size, and learn the real science behind this one-of-a-kind exhibit.

The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis president and CEO Jennifer Pace Robinson disclosed in a press release "“The Jurassic Mile site is extremely unique because it is a fossil-rich plot of land that contains hundreds of bones as well as footprints or trackways that tell us more about the behavior of dinosaurs. Not only that, it contains fossilized plants that help us better understand the environment—all alongside an ancient seabed. To have everything in one place helps us paint a more complete picture of what that point in time really looked like, and it helps us bring real science to life for our visitors.”
Dinosphere opened in 2004 and quickly became our most popular permanent exhibit.

Carousel Ride is enjoyed by the visitors of all ages and is free for members and children under 2. Non-member is charged $1 per ride. The Glass fireworks are astonishing. Power of Children, Treasures of the Earth, Barbie, Scienceworks, American POP and Beyond Spaceship Earth are the other important and educational sections of the Children Museum.
