CHANDIGARH: Ansh Arora and Jasneet Kaur, both of Panjab University, stole the show by winning three goals each in the men and women sections, respectively, on the opening day of the Panjab University Inter-College Swimming Championships at the PU Swimming Pool here today.
Ansh Arora emerged champion in the 50 metres, 100 metres and 200 metres breaststroke events in the men's section. Anurag Dagar of DAV College, Hoshiarpur, earned gold medals in the 50 metres and 100 metres freestyle events.
In the women's category Jasmeet Kaur finished first in 50 metres and 800 metres freestyle competitions and she pocketed another gold as she was the first to reach the finish-line.
Riya of GGGSCW, Sector 26 bagged gold medals in the 50 metres and 100 metres breaststroke. Pallavi of GHGC Sadhar also won two gold medals. She emerged champion in 100 freestyle and 200 metres butterfly competitions.
