NAKODAR: The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested a youth for kidnapping and procuring a minor girl and criminal conspiracy.
Investigating Officer (IO)Paramjit Singh said that the accused have been identified Sunil Gill, resident of Chand Pur village under Patara police station.
The mother of the victim had complained to the police that the accused Sunil had kidnapped her minor daughter from her school on August 12, 2025.
IO said that a case under sections 137(2) (kidnapping), 96(procuration of a child), 61(2) (criminal conspiracy), 64(rape), 351(2) (criminal intimidation) of the BNS and section 4 of the Posco Act was registered against the accused and others.
Three drug peddlers arrested under NDPS Act
NAKODAR: The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested three drug peddlers for selling intoxicant tablets.
Investigating Officer (IO)Buta Ram said that 30 intoxicant tablets(loose) were recovered from the possession of the accused, identified as Harjindar alias Mandeep resident of Uggi village colonies and his brother Harwindar Singh and Sandeep alias Jangli of Uggi village who has sold intoxicant tablets to accused.
