MUMBAI: The travel time between Mumbai-Pune is expected to reduce by an hour with a new public bus service being launched via the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link from Tuesday, officials said here.

CHANDIGARH: Announcing the strict implementation of "One Bus-One Permit" measure, the Punjab Transport Minister S. Laljit Singh Bhullar, on Wednesday, said that all the bus permits would be put online soon to root out the bus mafia from the state.

FEROZEPUR: Punjab Transport Minister Amarinder Singh Raja Warring on Monday laid the foundation stone of a bus stand to be constructed at a cost of Rs 3.71 crore at Mudaki in Ferozepur, boosting the infrastructure of the area. The bus stand to be constructed under the guidance of Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi would be equipped with modern facilities. The bus stand would be constructed on about 17 kanals of land.

NEW DELHI: The final phase trials of the contactless E-ticketing app 'Chartr' will begin in all 2990 buses of Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System (DIMTS) Ltd. from Monday. The Transport Department of the Delhi Government is all set for its one-month final phase of trial of the contactless e-ticketing services that was launched in August 2020, and scaled up in the wake of the COVID pandemic. The trial would cover all the routes of DIMTS buses. In the last week of February, the trial of this app was extended to all 3760 DTC buses till March 31st.
