Rains are likely in Punjab Haryana and Chandigarh on January 21 to 23

AMRITSAR:Rains are likely in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh on January 21, 22 and 23. At the same time, the meteorological department said that after the rains, relief from the cold will begin.

It is freezing cold in northern India at the moment. And there is no hope of getting relief from the cold for the next few days. The cold has intensified for the past one week due to lack of sunshine. At the same time, the meteorological department has predicted that western disturbances will resume in northern India from January 21. Due to which light to moderate snowfall and heavy rains are expected in the hilly areas of North India.

The meteorological department has also forecast severe cold across Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh for the next three days. At present, the maximum temperature in Punjab was recorded at 16.4 degrees Celsius (Bathinda) while the minimum was recorded at 5.2 degrees Celsius (Halwara).
