The government should manage the budget for the Christian Welfare Board: Nahar

AMRITSAR: Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi has been working very hard to solve the problems of the minorities. The Chief Minister has directed all the Deputy Commissioners of the state to give due respect to the minorities. And their problems should be addressed on a priority basis.
This information was given by the Chairman Minority Commission Punjab Prof. Emanuel Nahar after a meeting with the members of the Minority Commission at Zila Parishad Hall today.
The meeting was attended by a large number of former MPs. J.D. Addressing the meeting, Saleem said that the Congress government has always stood by the minorities and their problems would be addressed on priority basis. He said that the problems faced by the minority people of Punjab would be addressed through a high level meeting.
He said that during his visit he would visit different districts of Punjab and listen to the plight of the minority people.
Addressing the meeting Chairman Minorities Commission Prof. Emanuel Nahar said that it was a commendable step by the Chief Minister Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi to restore the disconnected meter connections of the poor and to get water and electricity bills from the government. Prof. Nahar said that the campaign launched by the government under the My Home My Name scheme has got millions of people to own property. People will be able to use this ownership registry. Due to the beneficial decisions being taken for the benefit of the people in the forthcoming Assembly elections, the people are finding happiness in forming a Congress government again. Prof. Nahar said that he would also hold a meeting with the Chief Minister of Punjab to arrange a special budget for the Christian Welfare Board.
He said that the Cabinet Minister Mr. Rajkumar Verka has always given a positive impetus to the demands of the Minority Commission and has taken their grievances to the top.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Subhash Thoba, Member, Minorities Commission said that the facilities being provided to the people of the Minorities Commission. Objections are deliberately raised by some of his officials and his B.C. Certificates are not created. Dr. Mr. Thoba said that Punjab Chief Minister should address the problems of minorities by giving special legislation.
Former Member of Parliament J.D. Seelam and Chairman Nahar also honored the people who rendered excellent services during Kovid 19 and awarded certificates to them. Mr. Roshan Joseph District President Gurdaspur, Mr. Isa Das (Tony President) Member Advisory Advisory Committee, Mr. Happy Christ, Mr. Wilson Christ, Bisham Emanuel Christ, Pastor Deepak Mathew, Mr. Sunil Christ besides a large number of representatives were present in this meeting.
