SGPC President strongly condemns attack on Sukhbir Singh Badal at Gurdwara Mata Sahib Devan’s Complex in Nanded
AMRITSAR: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has strongly condemned the attack on Sukhbir Badal by a person while he was visiting Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib Nanded.
Advocate Dhami said that the attack on the head of a Sikh political organization representing the holy place of the Sikh faith is sad and unfortunate. He said that the attack on Badal, who had gone to the Guru Ghar with his family for darshan, is a manifestation of anti-Panth mentality and is a direct insult to the dignity and honor of the Guru Ghar. Every Sikh visits the Guru Ghar with great devotion and such an attack on a devotee is a direct insult to Sikh faith.
Advocate Dhami said that anti-Panth forces want to weaken the power of the nation by making Sikhs fight among themselves. Such actions are being taken only for such intentions. The SGPC President said that the sanctity and dignity of Gurdwara Sahibs are supreme for the entire Sikh Panth and such a tragic incident that took place at Gurdwara Sahibs cannot be accepted. He said that an impartial investigation into this matter should be conducted and the culprits of this incident and the forces working behind it should be exposed.
