AMRITSAR: Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, President of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, congratulated the Sikh Sangat on the occasion of Nanakshahi Sammat 554 and encouraged them to live according to Gurbani.
He said that according to Sikh tradition the new year starts from 1st Chet.
He prayed that Guru Sahib would bless the sangats all over the world with peace and harmony.
The SGPC President said that Sikh traditions and gurmat ideology lead to every aspect of human life.
By applying Gurbani, human problems are easily solved.
He said that on the eve of New Year special gurmat ceremonies were being conducted by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall and a large number of devotees were paying obeisance at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib.
Advocate Dhami on the occasion of New Year's Eve appealed to the young generation to take inspiration from their heritage and join Bani and Bana.
