AMRITSAR: Manjeet Singh Bhoma, Chairman of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Manjit Singh Bhoma said that the service rules of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee do not apply beyond the Shambhu Barrier, while the order of Akal Takht Sahib is applicable to every Sikh living around the world And it applies then how did Akal Takht Sahib's Jathedar become under Shiromani Committee?
In a press statement here today he said that Akali Dal Badal is making the anti-cult forces happy by openly challenging the sovereignty of Sri Akal Takht Sahib in full pride. At present, a direct clash is going on between Akali Dal Badal and Sri Akal Takht Sahib's organization. Because of which every Sikh's heart is sad. The creation of Sri Akal Takht Sahib was done by Sixth Patshah Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji.
He further said that Royal and religious orders are issued from time to time from Sri Akal Takht Sahib. The order of Sri Akal Takht Sahib applies to Sikhs all over the world as it was applied to the King of Punjab Maharaja Ranjit Singh sitting in Lahore and former Chief Minister of Punjab Surjit Singh Barnala. The Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib is not under the 1925 Act of Shiromani Committee. Service rules of Shiromani Committee apply on the main granthi of Sri Akal Takht. But these rules do not apply to the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
The order of Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib is acceptable to all Sikhs. But the order of the main granthi of Sri Akal Takht Sahib does not apply to all Sikhs. In the act of 1925 it is written that Head Minister means Chief Granthi not Jathedar Akal Takht Sahib. Akali Dal Badal is starting to consider themselves higher than Sri Akal Takht Sahib which Sikhs will never tolerate; he added.
