SAD and BSP local leaders join Congress in presence of MP Santokh Singh Chaudhary

PHILLAUR: In a big jolt to Shiromani Akali Dal and Bahujan Samaj Party in Phillaur assembly constituency, many of their local leaders belonging to village Sargundi joined the Indian National Congress in presence of Jalandhar Member of Parliament Santokh Singh Chaudhary at his residence here on Sunday.

These workers include sports club president Maninder Singh, youth president Pinder, secretary Harpreet Saroye, Cashier Harpinder Singh, Panch Parminder Singh Dosanjh, Panch Narinder Singh, Panch Gurmukh Lal, Panch Sardool Saroye, Munish Kumar, Maninder Kumar, Ritik Kumar, Harinder Sangha, Parminder Rai, Sukha Sangha, Bobby and Sunil Kumar.

They said both BSP and SAD have lost their vision and their leaders are not paying attention to issues of public importance.

Welcoming them to the Congress party, MP Chaudhary said that thanks to the development and welfare works done by the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, many people were now switching sides and joining Congress.

“The people know that Congress is the only party in the state looking after their welfare. Other parties have no development agenda and progressive ideas. The public will repose its faith in the Congress again in the upcoming elections, ” he said.Angi Panch, Jagveer Dosanjh and Satinder Aery were among those present on the occasion.
