PHAGWARA: Punjab Local Government Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh on Monday met the family of a youth from village Bhanoki, whose tragic killing in Hoshiarpur has sent shockwaves through the region. The minister extended his heartfelt condolences and assured the bereaved family of every possible assistance.
Dr. Ravjot said the murder case would be taken up in a fast-track court to ensure speedy justice. He further added that he would take up the matter with the Chief Minister to provide the family with financial relief and facilitate employment for one family member in the municipal corporation.
Several senior leaders and officials were present on the occasion, including former Cabinet Minister Brahm Shankar Jimpa, AAP Doaba in-charge Sandeep Saini, Lok Sabha constituency in-charge Karmajit Kaur, constituency in-charge Harji Maan, Jarnail Nangal (Chairman, Improvement Trust), ADC Dr. Akshita Gupta, SP Gurmeet Kaur Chahal, Naib Tehsildar Gurucharan Singh, and Tavinder Ram.
The victim, identified as Ranbir, was the son of Amandeep, a resident of village Bhanoki in Phagwara. Amandeep had been working in Hoshiarpur for the past several months, where the tragic incident occurred.
