Punjab government will compensate farmers for the loss of lives due to floods: Aman Arora

AJNALA: Cabinet Minister Mr. Aman Arora , who is also the state president of Aam Aadmi Party , specially reached Ajnala constituency to review the ongoing relief work for the flood victims.

He was accompanied by Cabinet Minister of Public Works Department Mr. Harbhajan Singh ETO, Constituency MLA Mr. Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal.

The cabinet ministers visited Ghonewal village, which is the worst affected, ahead of Ramdas . The cabinet ministers, who reached Ghonewal on a tractor in the pouring rain, got emotional after seeing the damage caused by the floods in the constituency.

While talking to the residents of the constituency, Mr. Aman Arora said that the damage that nature has done this time is very big, it is difficult to repair it, but on behalf of the Punjab government, I assure you that the entire government under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann is standing with you. We share your every sorrow and after the flood water recedes, compensation will be given for the damage caused by conducting a special Girdawari.

He also said on the demand of the people that while building the dam after the floods, the department officials will make such a plan in consultation with the local residents so that this water does not become a problem for the people in the future.

He said that according to an estimate, so far about 30 thousand acres of crops have been damaged and hundreds of houses and machinery have been destroyed by water.

On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO expressed his sympathy with the people for the damage caused by the heavy rains in the mountains and said that no one has the power to fight nature , but now we can all come out of this crisis together. He said that I thank our employees and people who together saved hundreds of human lives and are now providing water , ration , medicines etc. to all the needy.
