MOHALI: Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) has urged the Punjab Government to extend the admission cutoff date by one month in view of the recent flood situation in the state.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, President PUCA and Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh, said that for a few courses, including Law, the last date of admission was August 31. However, due to the floods across Punjab, normal life has been severely disrupted, affecting students, staff, and the general public.
Manjit Singh Patron PUCA also emphasized that given the adverse circumstances, it is essential that the admission deadline be extended.
