PLW Celebrates 80th Independence Day with Patriotic Fervour
PATIALA: The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at Patiala Locomotive Works (PLW).
Shri S. K. Srivastava, Principal Chief Administrative Officer (PCAO), PLW, was the Chief Guest on the occasion. He hoisted the National Flag and extended warm greetings to all officers, employees and their families on Independence Day.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Srivastava highlighted the achievements of PLW and appreciated the dedication, hard work and team spirit of its officers and employees. He called upon the PLW fraternity to continue working with excellence, integrity, discipline and innovation and contribute towards building an Atmanirbhar and Viksit Bharat.
Smt. Gauri Srivastava, President, PLW Women Welfare Organisation, also graced the occasion. The celebrations were made more colourful by the tiny tots and students of Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2 and Neev PLW Public School, who presented vibrant dance performances filled with patriotic spirit. Smt. Gauri Srivastava distributed sweets and prizes to the participating children and appreciated their performances.
The Independence Day function was attended by PLW officers and staff, members and office-bearers of the Staff Council, representatives of recognised associations and other unions, along with other members of the PLW fraternity.
The programme concluded with a renewed pledge to uphold the values of unity, integrity and dedication towards the nation and to contribute collectively to the progress of Indian Railways and the country.
