Pilgrims who want to visit Pakistan on Baisakhi can submit their passports till December 31

AMRITSAR: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has started the process of sending a Jatha of devotees to visit shrines in Pakistan on the occasion of Khalsa Sajna Diwas (Baisakhi).

Disclosing this in a statement here today Mr Kulwinder Singh Ramdas secretary SGPC Media said that the pilgrims who want to visit Pakistan on this day can submit their passports till December 31 in the office SGOC at the Yatra Department.

The Shiromani Committee sends four Jathas every year to visit shrines in Pakistan, including the Khalsa Sajna Divas . Passports have been demanded from the pilgrims
He said that it was important for the pilgrims to get the recommendation from the SGPC members of their respective constituencies and also to submit the Aadhaar card or a copy of the voter card as proof of their identity.
SGPC Secretary Media Mr Kulwinder Singh Ramdas informed that on the occasion of Khalsa Sajna Divas (Baisakhi) a group of devotees would be sent to Pakistan on April 2022. Special functions will be held at Gurdwara Sri Panja Sahib in this regard, while the Jatha will also visit other shrines.

He said that pilgrims wishing to visit shrines in Pakistan should submit their passports before December 31 so that the visa process could be processed in a timely manner.
