PHAGWARA: Former Punjab Minister and Chairman of Punjab Agro Industries Joginder Singh Mann today said that by taking Haryana and centre government head on Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has proved that only he was the real saviour of farmers of the state.
In a statement issued here today, the former Punjab Minister said that the Chief Minister with his vision and competence foiled the dubious plans of the Haryana and centre government to label the farmers of the state as Khalistanis. He said that Captain Amarinder Singh has once again stood with the farmers of the state to ensure that their interests were safeguarded. Mann said that only a true patriot and brave leader like Captain Amarinder Singh could take this stance for the food growers of the country.
The Chairman of Punjab Agro Industries Corporation said that as a fact of matter the Chief Minister has emerged as the only leader of farmers in the country. He said that the farmers of Country in general and that of Punjab in particular understand the fact that their interests were safe in the hands of Chief Minister. Mann said that the day is not far when under the able leadership of Chief Minister the farmers would force the Union government to take the draconian agriculture bills back.
Slamming the Modi government for passing these bills, the former Punjab Minister said that these laws would not benefit the farmers in a single way but would sabotage the interests of farmers before the corporates. Mann said that the Union government has not consulted any of the stakeholder before framing these laws. He said that in reality these laws have been framed only to benefit the corporates and in consultation with them only.
