No stone will be left unturned in the overall development of villages - M.P. Manish Tewari

NAWANSHAHR: The Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh has been working day and night to provide urban amenities to the villages of the state and no stone is being left unturned in the overall development of the villages. This revelation was made by Lok Sabha member and former Union Minister Manish Tewari in the presence of  M.L. A. Nawanshahr Angad Singh, Pawan Dewan, Chairman, Punjab Large Scale Industrial Development Board, on the occasion of launching grants of Rs. 2.15 Crores.

He said that the Punjab government was giving generous grants for parks, roads, streets, drains, sewerage, water supply, street lights and other development works in every village so that the overall development of the villages could be enhanced and Equivalent facilities in comparison to cities can be provided .He said that Punjab government led by Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh is committed for the development of the state and no shortage of funds would be allowed for it.On this occasion he gave grant of Rs. 9.21 lakh to Gram Panchayat Dilawarpur, Rs. 40.89 lakh to Karyam, Rs. 56.48 lakh to Kahma, Rs. 58.25 lakh to Naura, Rs. 30.68 lakh to Sona and Rs. 19.89 lakh to Sahabpur. He urged that the grants released for the development works should be utilized in a prudent manner and their utilization certificates should be sent soon so that more grants could be arranged.Meanwhile, MLA Angad Saini thanked MP Tewari for his continuous contribution in the development of the constituency.On this occasion Zila Parishad Chairperson Harmesh Kaur, B.Sc. D. P. Rajesh Chadha, Block Samiti Member Joginder Singh, District Women Congress President Tajinder Kaur, Sarpanch Harwinder Singh Sidhu, Sarpanch Harinder Singh Sangha, Sarpanch Dilbag Singh, and Mohtabars of the concerned villages and villagers were present in large numbers.
