No Notification issue even after one week of MC elections

Congress ready for parade of its all councilors anytime
PHAGWARA: Even after one week of the local bodies elections AAP led Punjab Government did not issue proper notification to form Municipal Corporations to work formally after elections of Mayors and Deputy Mayors. The elections were held on December 21 and results were declared on same evening.

As Per present scenario the Congress Party has won the support of 29 elected councilors including 23 Congress, 3 of Bahujan Samaj Party, Two independent Councilors and one local MLA Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal himself.

On the other hand AAP has 14 elected councilors, but AAP leaders and wanted to get support of Shiromani Akali Dal(3 Councilors), and Bhartiya Janta Party(4), but even then AAP could not be in the position of electing their own Mayor.
When contacted Phagwara MLA Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal while talking to This correspondent here on Saturday Evening that He is ready to present Congress and its supporters MCs on one platform may be tomorrow ie on Sunday.

He asked the local AAP leadership to bring their MCs on one platform before public and leave the dirty politics.
Can SAD and BJP join hands with Aadmi Party in Phagwara to prevent the congress from forming Municipal Corporation? This question has become “Talk of the Town”.

It was reliably learnt that Shiromani Akali Dal may support AAP to form the new MC in Phagwara.
When contacted SAD Halka Incharge Ranjit Singh Khurana told This Correspondent here today that SAD can join hands with any political party to prevent the congress from forming MC in Phagwara, but the final decision would be taken by SAD high command only. It was learnt that AAP Leaders like Dr Raj Kumar Chabbewal MP and Halka Incharge Joginder Singh Maan are contacting all Anti-Congress parties including independent candidates to bring them on one platform against the congress.

Though now AAP has 14 seats and if SAD(3 seats) and BJP(4 seats) support AAP then AAP could get support of 21 councilors which will 5 seats less than required 26 MC to elect Mayor of AAP. However the “Jodd-Todd” politics is continue in the city. It was also reliably learnt that official machinery of all departments of Phagwara are under deep pressure from the leaders of ruling party to include more councilors in AAP.

Phagwara MLA Dhaliwal alleged that AAP leaders are stopping MC employees to lift garbage from these wards won by the congress. He showed a photo of heap of garbage in labor colony Phagwara from where congress leader Sushil Maini was elected.
