AMRITSAR: The body of 32-year-old Nitesh Chopra, son of Suresh Kumar, a resident of Mohali, arrived at Sri Guru Ram Das International Airport, here from Dubai today, after which it was sent to his home through the free ambulance service of Sarbat Da Bhala Trust.
Sharing information in this regard, Dr. S.P. Singh Oberoi, a prominent businessman of Dubai and founder of Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust, said that Nitesh Chopra, like other youths, had been working hard in Dubai for the last 7 years to alleviate the plight of his family.
He said that according to the information given by the family, he died due to a sudden heart attack on October 27. He said that his personal assistant Baldeep Singh Chahal had completed the necessary paperwork in Dubai along with the manager of the deceased's company Simarjit Singh and while today the body of the deceased was received from Amritsar airport in the presence of the victim's family by the trust's Punjab president Sukhjinder Singh Heer and general secretary Manpreet Singh Sandhu and sent to his house through the trust's 'free ambulance service'. Dr. Oberoi also said that all the expenses incurred in sending the body of Nitesh Chopra to India have been borne by his work company. He said that the Mohali district team of the trust will soon inform the family about the financial condition and then provide monthly pension to Nitesh Chopra's family as per their requirement.
It is noteworthy that under the patronage of Dr. Oberoi, the bodies of about 425 unfortunate youth have been delivered to their heirs so far and for the past few months, a free ambulance service has also been started to transport the bodies of the deceased from Amritsar airport to their homes.
Meanwhile, the deceased's uncle Anil Kumar, brothers Nimant Chopra and Vijay Kumar, etc., present at the airport, thanked Dr. S.P. Singh Oberoi for his great help during this difficult time.
