Kejriwal govt should refrain from causing hindrance in the release of imprisoned sikhs: Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa

PUNJABNEWS EXPRESS | January 19, 2022 09:01 PM

CHANDIGARH:Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt) President and Rajya Sabha Member, S. Sukhdev Singh while strongly opposing Delhi Chief Minister and National Convener of Aam Aadmi Party, Sh. Arvind Kejriwal, S. Dhindsa said that Kejriwal who is ignorant of Panthic ideology should refrain himself from causing any hindrance in the release of Professor Devinderpal Singh Bhullar and 20 other imprisoned Singhs.

S. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa said that Shiromani Akali Dal has been dedicatedly working for the release of sikh imprisoners for a long time and from time to time it has been putting pressure on the Central Governments in this regard, however, this issue was never taken seriously. But now that the BJP government is promising to consider the release of the prisoners and unfortunately Kejriwal government is deliberately causing the obstruction.

Resolving the pivotal issues of Panth and Punjab, while keeping aside our own interests is the utmost priority of the Party and the party would continue to put a tough fight against anti-Panth forces, added S. Dhindsa.

S. Dhindsa has once again demanded the Center to seriously consider the list of 20 imprisoned Singhs handed over by the Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt) along with ensuring that Kejriwal led Delhi government do not cause deliberate impediment to the release of Professor Bhullar.

It may be recalled that recently a delegation of senior leaders of the party led by Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt) President S. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa had met the Home Minister, Sh. Amit Shah and while apprising him about the 20 imprisoned sikhs who had completed their sentences in the jails and demanded their immediate release.
