Jathedar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib paid obeisance at Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan

SRI KARTARPUR SAHIB: Giani Kuldip Singh Gargajj, Acting Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Jathedar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, who is currently visiting Pakistan with a Sikh Jatha (group), today paid obeisance at Gurdwara Sri Darbar Sahib, Sri Kartarpur Sahib in the evening. 

On this occasion, the President of the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and Minister of West Punjab, Ramesh Singh Arora, along with Head Granthi of Sri Kartarpur Sahib Giani Gobind Singh, local Sikhs, and sewadars of the Gurdwara, extended a warm welcome to Jathedar Gargajj by presenting him bouquets of flowers. 

After paying obeisance at the holy Sikh shrine, Jathedar Giani Kuldip Singh Gargajj offered Ardas (Sikh prayer) for the reopening of Sri Kartarpur Sahib Corridor at the earliest and for the peaceful and cordial relations between India and Pakistan. 

During the visit, Jathedar Gargajj also inquired from Ramesh Singh Arora about the situation during the recent floods in Punjab, particularly regarding the flooding of the Sri Kartarpur Sahib complex and the measures taken to drain the water. He expressed satisfaction that the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Evacuee Trust Property Board, and the Government of West Punjab had promptly drained the floodwater and reopened the Gurdwara Sahib for the devotees. 

He made a special appeal to Sikhs across India and specially of abroad to visit Gurdwara Sri Darbar Sahib, Sri Kartarpur Sahib in large numbers to pay homage at this sacred shrine.
