AMRITSAR:Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Bibi Jagir Kaur termed the orders of Kejriwal government of Delhi to close Gurdwara Sri Bangla Sahib as an unconstitutional decision.

She said that Gurdwaras were the spiritual centers of humanity and also provided humanitarian services. The orders to close Gurdwara Sri Bangla Sahib are a testament to the dictatorial attitude of the Delhi government, which the Sikh community cannot tolerate.

Bibi Jagir Kaur asked the government to immediately reverse the decision and apologize.
She reminded Kejriwal that these were the same Gurdwaras which used to provide langar and other services to the people during Corona. The services rendered during the corona of Gurdwara Sri Bangla Sahib in Delhi have also been commended and sadly, today the SDM has issued orders to close the same Guru Ghar.
Bibi Jagir Kaur said that there was an attempt to suppress the Sikhs under the pretext of Corona which could not be accepted.
Meanwhile Manjinder Sirsa President Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee took stern notice of the SDM's order to close Gurdwara Bangla Sahib and said that the order was unreasonable and dictatorial. It should be withdrawn immediately.
A letter to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has demanded immediate withdrawal of the order.
In his letter, Mr. Sirsa said, “It is pertinent to mention that this was the Gurdwara which had provided langar to thousands of needy people at the request of various SDMs and other departments of the Delhi Government during the Corona epidemic. Gurdwara Sahib "
