PATIALA:Justice Ms Ritu Bahri, the administrative and inspecting High Court Judge of the Patiala Sessions Division conducted the annual inspection at District Courts Patiala.
Justice Ms Ritu Bahri also visited the Central Jail, Patiala and listened to the Jail inmates’ problems and passed necessary directions to redress their grievances/problems. Jail Superintendent, other officers and staff of the jails were also instructed to ensure timely redressal of the grievances and problems of the jail inmates and were directed to pay special attention towards health and medical facilities, which are being provided to the jail inmates.
During this visit, Justice Ms Ritu Bahri visited the women's cell in the jail. On this occasion, Justice Bahri was shown the handlooms and phulkari work done by the women jail inmates. The Hon’ble Justice Ms Ritu Bahri expressed the view that if the jail inmates be engaged in courses like carpenter, tailoring, Bakery, Agriculture, Handlooms, Phulkari work etc, then it will help them to be better human being and further when they go back in the society, they can settle their life and will not indulge in committing the crimes in future.
Apart from this, Justice Ms Ritu Bahri visited the Crèche and Radio Station also. Sh. Rajinder Aggarwal, Ld. District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Patiala, Sh. Sandip Hans, Ld. Deputy Commissioner, Patiala, Dr. Sandeep Garg, Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala, Ms Monica Sharma, ACJM, Sh. Amit Malhan, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Patiala and Ms. Parminder Kaur, CJM/Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Patiala were also present there.
During the visit, Hon’ble Justice Ms Ritu Bahri also visited the court complex Patiala and interacted with all the Judges of Sessions Division Patiala and conveyed the necessary directions regarding judicial work to all the judicial officers. Hon’ble Justice Ms Ritu Bahri impressed upon that all possible remedial steps should be taken to make the justice delivery system more effective.
Apart from this, Hon’ble Justice Ms Ritu Bahri also visited the Bar Room, Patiala and listened to their grievances and assured them of redressing their grievances at the earliest.
