GoI gives in-principle approval of Rs 500 crore for establishment of 'Pind Baba Nanak da' heritage complex at Sultanpur Lodhi: Anmol Gagan Maan

CHANDIGARH:The tourism department has accelerated the process for the setting up of flagship projects with the aim of increasing the tourism potential in the state. An in-principle approval of Rs 500 crore has been received from the Central Government for the Baba Nanak village project at Sultanpur Lodhi in Punjab.

Giving this information, Punjab Tourism and Culture Minister Madam Anmol Gagan Mann said that a project cost of Rs 500 crore has been chalked out for the project of village Baba Nanak at Sultanpur Lodhi. She said that the preliminary report regarding this project was sent by the state government to the government of India. She said that an in-principle approval of Rs 500 crore has been obtained from the central government for this project. She said that consultants would be hired soon to complete the establishment of 'Village Baba Nanak Da' heritage complex.

She said that the Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs will soon launch a global tender to establish this world-class project.
