AMRITSAR: Acting Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Jathedar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Giani Kuldip Singh Gargajj, today visited several flood-affected villages in the Ajnala border area of Amritsar district.

He was accompanied by Baba Satnam Singh of Kar Sewa Qila Anandgarh Sahib. During the visit, they assessed the damage caused to people’s homes, crops, and livestock due to the floods.

On this occasion, Jathedar Giani Kuldip Singh Gargajj expressed gratitude to all Sikh youths of Punjab, organizations delivering relief material, revered saints of Kar Sewa, and other groups engaged in service. He prayed for their continued prosperity and spirit of Chardi Kala (high spirits).

However, he also raised questions over the functioning of both the Punjab and Central governments. He strongly criticized administrative officials and representatives for their failure to reach every affected village and for not providing boats to the relief organizations working on the ground.

He appealed to all serving organizations to ensure that relief material reaches every needy family in the villages so that no affected household is left out. He emphasized that at present, it is most urgent to reach the deeply submerged villages and supply fodder for the cattle.

It is noteworthy that Baba Satnam Singh of Kar Sewa Qila Anandgarh Sahib organisation is rendering significant services in this region by continuously providing relief to the people and working to repair and reinforce the breached embankments.
