AMRITSAR: On the instructions of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, the Chief Secretary of the Committee, Mr. Kulwant Singh Mannan, has given permission to the five-member committee to hold a function at Bhai Gurdas Hall located in Heritage street on August 11.
The five-member committee had written a letter to Advocate Dhami demanding that a place be provided for the delegate session at Teja Singh Samundri Hall, a meeting hall built in the Shiromani Committee office.
According to the information, since the beautification work of the meeting hall of Teja Singh Samundri Hall is going on, as an alternative arrangement, Advocate Dhami instructed Chief Secretary Kulwant Singh Manan to allow a five-member committee to provide space at Bhai Gurdas Hall for the delegate meeting.
It is worth mentioning that on December 2, 2024, a seven-member committee was formed for the revival of the Shiromani Akali Dal, two of whose members Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami and Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar resigned, after which the remaining five members worked day and night to launch a recruitment campaign for the revival of the Akali Dal and a new president will be elected for the revived Akali Dal during the delegate meeting at Bhai Gurdas Hall on August 11.
