Dal Khalsa has gave a call for Amritsar Bandh on June 6 in memory of those killed during the operation blue star in June 1984

AMRITSAR: Dal Khalsa has gave a call for Amritsar Bandh on June 6 in memory of those killed during the operation blue star in June 1984 and the march would start from Gurdwara Burj Akali Phoola Singh at 5 PM and will culminate at Akal Takhat where Ardas would be performed in memory of martyrs.

The party working president Paramjit Singh Mand said that there will be no effect on medical services and traffic will not be disturbed during the Amritsar Bandh.

Mand and Bhai Kanwarpal Singh said forgetting assault on Sikh faith was not possible. They said that the great nations never forget the sacrifices of martyrs and they do everything to preserve their history for the future generations.

They informed media that leaders and representatives of Akali Dal Amritsar, Panth Sewak Jatha, various Akali factions and youth bodies would be joining the march.

Dal Khalsa leaders said the Shutdown call was meant to protest against the army assault, loot of invaluable manuscripts and arte facts from Sik7h National Library.

Mand said the bandh would be peaceful and urged all sections of people to cooperate with their call.
