TALWANDI SABO: The Miri-Piri Khalsa March, which began with the aim of conveying the message of devotion to the great principles of Miri-Piri bestowed by the sixth Guru, Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, the supremacy of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, and Panthic traditions, to every household, concluded late last night here. Sahib, amidst a massive gathering and an atmosphere of Chardi Kala.
During this Khalsa March, the large gathering of devotees at various stages gave a clear message that the Sikh community will always remain united under its Panthic traditions, the philosophy of Miri-Piri bestowed by Guru Sahib and the leadership of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and will face every challenge with chardi kala.
At the conclusion of the Khalsa March, Jathedar Singh Sahib of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargajj, Jathedar of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib Giani Tek Singh, President of Shiromani Gurdwara parbanhak Committee Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, senior Akali leaders S. Balwinder Singh Bhunder, S. Tajinder Singh Middukhera and other prominent personalities were present.
On this occasion, Jathedar Singh Sahib of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj said that the principle of Miri Piri bestowed by the sixth Guru Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji is unwavering. History is a witness to this fact that the Sikh community has wholeheartedly accepted the leadership of Sri Akal Takht Sahib in every difficult time. Despite numerous atrocities, attacks and conspiracies, the bond of Sikhs with their Takhts, Guru Ghar and Panthic traditions has never weakened.
He said that no power can separate a Sikh from his heritage, his principles and his dedication to Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
He said that even today some anti-Panthic forces are attacking in various ways to weaken the dignity of Sikh institutions, the supremacy of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Panthic unity. Sometimes illusions are spread about Sikh institutions, sometimes attempts are made to make Panthic decisions controversial and sometimes attempts are made to create division among the Sangat. The sole purpose of such attempts is to weaken the collective strength of the Sikh community. He urged the Sangat to be wary of such forces.
On this occasion, SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said that during the last 12 days, lakhs of devotees paid homage to the Miri Piri Khalsa March that started from Sri Akal Takht Sahib in many villages and cities of Majha and Malwa, proving that Punjab is still inextricably linked to the principles of Guru Sahib and the leadership of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
He said that a large number of devotees participating in the Khalsa March have also given an answer to those people who were questioning the principles of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Sikh institutions. He said that the morals and Panthic decisions of Sikhism are decided only under the leadership of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, and not on the basis of political platforms or personal opinions. He specially thanked the organizations and devotees who cooperated during the Khalsa March.
At the end of the Khalsa March, Nihang Singhs along with elephants and horses were creating enthusiasm among the devotees.
