PHAGWARA: In a significant initiative to update regional medical professionals on the latest trends and practices in liver health and surgical procedures, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Phagwara, in collaboration with PGI Jalandhar, organised a Continuing Medical Education (CME) session here last night. The event drew enthusiastic participation from more than 60 doctors representing various specialities from Phagwara and neighbouring areas.
The session featured in-depth discussions on some of the most pressing issues affecting liver health today. Dr. Alok Sehgal began the evening by addressing the practical aspects of managing jaundice. He spoke extensively about diagnostic approaches, clinical red flags, and appropriate treatment protocols for different types of jaundice, ensuring that general practitioners and specialists alike were updated on evidence-based practices.
