Bhoma said that due to the efforts of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee President Harmeet Singh Kalka and General Secretary Jagdeep Singh Kahlon in the past few days, the Central Government has allowed the Sikh Jatha of 3000 pilgrims to celebrate Gurpurab of Guru Nanak Dev in Nankana Sahib.

In a written press statement, Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee Dharam Prachar Committee Punjab Chairman Manjit Singh Bhoma has thanked the President of the country Narendra Modi, Delhi Committee President Harmeet Singh Kalka and General Secretary Jagdeep Singh Kahlon. It is worth mentioning here that after the Pahalgam attack, due to the severe deterioration of relations between India and Pakistan, a lot of trade and road and air traffic were also completely affected.

Even the Kartarpur corridor was closed due to this attack. Due to which there was a lot of disappointment among the Sangat. In this regard, a few days ago, Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee President Harmeet Singh Kalka and General Secretary Jagdeep Singh Kahlon had written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi informing him of the sentiments of the Sikh community and requested the Central Government to reconsider its decision.

The Government of India, after considering the letter seriously and understanding the sentiments and emotions of the Sikh community, reconsidered its decision and took a major progressive decision and granted permission to 3000 Sikh pilgrims to celebrate Gurpurab at Gurdwara Sri Nankana Sahib in Pakistan. This has spread a wave of happiness in the Sikh community.
