Bhai Dhyan Mand summons former Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh at Akal Takht on October 4

AMRITSAR: Akkal Takht Acting Jathedar appointed by Sarbat Khalsa Bhai Dhian Singh Mand has summoned former Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh on October 4 and And ordered an explanation regarding the Bargari front.

Bhai Mand was made the Executive Jathedar of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib during the Sarbatt Khalsa convened on November 10, 2015 and Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara was made the Jathedar. Similarly Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal was made Jathedar of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib and Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala was made Jathedar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib.

Recognizing the pulse of the situation, Bhai Daduwal and Bhai Ajnala dropped the claim of Jathedari but today Bhai Dhian Singh Mand presents himself as acting Jathedar.

Earlier, the former Chief Minister Surjit Singh Barnala was also summoned on the charge of sending police to the Golden Temple complex.

Mr. Barnala appeared at the Akal Takht and was also tied to a pole with a plaque of "I am a sinner, You are the Forgiver" around his neck.

Capt Amarinder Singh is the second Chief Minister to be summoned. Similarly, during the 50s of the last century, the police had entered the Golden Temple complex to disperse the Punjabi state front and a shot was fired. The then Chief Minister Bhim Sen Sachar also appeared at the Akal Takht and apologized.
